Mother's Day Funny Poems

Apart from you, your mom too deserves a round of applause for what you have become to be. After all, she is the one who has done all the hard work of making a good young boy/girl or a man/woman out of the brat you used to be. She deserves a bit of laughter amidst all the tiring efforts she put in: she worked hard to put a smile on your face when you were an infant, she worked even harder to make you laugh when you were deprived of the toy you loved so much that got broken into two, and she worked above par when you became a rebellious young man/woman to save you from the scolding that you were about to get from your dad by cracking a rib tickler. It's time you play a hoot to put a blissful smile on your mother's face. How? Check out some the humorous poetry for Mother's Day, reciting which you will be able to watch your mom burst into laughter.

Moms
Moms are a lot like the whispering sea
They’re always kind to you and to me
They bake and they dust
They’re people you trust
But they also can get rather angry

Happy Mother's Day
Kind and warm hearted
That's what she is
It's time to get started
And give that Missus
An exciting, cozy, and extremely happy
Or mysterious, curious, funny and snappy
Or maybe even weird and crazy
(But it also could be cloudy and hazy)
Mother's day, with all our love
And make her be the queen above

But if you forget to do it on time
Then your last minute will probably chime
And you’d go running out like a hare
Being chased by a humongous, vile brown bear
So evade the danger, screaming and unpleasant
And give her a party and some mother's day presents

(But don’t tell her or anyone ‘bout
What I’ve said or they’ll hit my snout!
So keep quiet, and say
"This is what you do on Mother's day!

Dear Mom
Mom you are a shining star though the world doesn't know your name.
You have no fancy title like Baroness or Dame.
Mom you really are a star, my mother mentor and friend.
A Nobel Prize for motherhood is what I'd recommend.
And if I won the lottery I'd share my win with you
I'd take you Mom on a spending spree each day the whole year through!
You may not be famous, as your face is known to few.
But Mom I think you are wonderful and I'm so proud of you!

Funny Mother's Day Poem
For all the diapers that you changed,
For all the play dates you arranged.
For all the trips back and forth to school,
For cleaning all the spit up and the drool.
Why is there only one Mother's Day,
You could have at least gotten the entire month of May.

Dear Lord
Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day,
With little time to stop and pray.
For life's been anything but calm,
Since you called on me to be a mom.
Running errands, matching socks,
Building dreams with building blocks.
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes,
And other stuff that children lose.
Fitting lids on bottled bugs,
Wiping tears and giving hugs.
A stack of last weeks mail to read,
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord,
Just at the sink or ironing board.
To ask the blessings of your grace,
I see then, in my small one's face.
That you have blessed me all the while,
And I stop to kiss that precious smile.
