Mother's Day Card Poems

A mother is our strength when the whole world seems to fall apart, a mother is our friend when others walk out on us, she becomes our guide when there seems to be no way and shows us the path, she believes and perseveres in our abilities, and gently caressing our hair; she absorbs all our worries and care. Summarizing the special bond that we share with our mother is like pouring out a droplet from the ocean of feelings that we have for her. However, this droplet alone is enough to convey to her that her child loves her dearly, for she understands the ocean that runs inside. With respect to this, there are some definite ways through which we can express our love for her: gifts, cards, and crafts. Among all these ways, cards, perhaps, make up the most popular mode of expression. The words that a card carries in it, is what will tell your mom how much you care for her. Therefore, it is necessary to look into the content of cards, before choosing one for your mom, so that they convey the right message. After finding the right card, you can enhance its value, by adorning it with a beautiful poetry on mothers. In case you need any help, go further and find some emotional and touching poems, to be used in Mother's Day cards.

Mother's Day Cards Poems

Motherhood
The dearest gifts that heaven holds,
The very finest, too,
Were made into one pattern
That was perfect, sweet, and true;
The Angels smiled, well-pleased, and said:
"Compared to all the others,
This pattern is so wonderful
Let's use it just for Mothers!"
And through the years, a Mother
Has been all that's sweet and good
For there's one bit of God and love,
In all true Motherhood.

My Mom
My mom is very sweet and always caring.
She worries about me when I am in school.
She makes sure that I get where I am going
On time, so that I don't feel like a fool.

She cares whenever I pick on my younger brother.
She cares whenever he or I get hurt.
She cares whenever I score a goal in soccer.
She cares about the buttons on my shirt.

But best of all, my mom loves all of us
Who live with her, both when we're good and bad.
She makes me happy with a hug and kiss
And holds my hand whenever I am sad.

Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.

Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.
- By George Cooper

Happy Mother's Day to My Dear Mom
"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

For Moms
She was there at the beginning
When the world was new to you
She was there to turn to happy times
Those when, you were hurt or blue.

She was there to listen to your thoughts
And when you asked, to give advice
She was there to tell you, "Those don't match!"
Or, "Hon, you sure look nice."

She was there with you at nighttime
To help you say your prayers
She was there to tell you, "It's alright."
When you had a dream that scares.

She was there at morning time
To get you up and out of bed
She was there when you didn't feel good (or did)
To say, "You'd best stay home, instead."

She was there when you were hungry
And when you had those dirty clothes
She was there when you needed her
(How she knew? Only heaven knows.

She was there at the beginning
And she'll be there your whole life through
She'll be there in your mind and heart
Just like a mother is supposed to do.
